Pacheco, California - June 10, 2009 - Bay Alarm V.P. Receives Lifetime Achievment Award
Dr. Shane Clary, V.P. Codes Standards and Compliance for Bay Alarm Company, Receives Lifetime Achievement Award.
During the Automatic Fire Alarm Association's (AFAA) annual breakfast and during the National Fire Alarm Association's (NFPA) annual meeting in Chicago, IL, Shane M. Clary, Vice President of Codes and Standards Compliance for Bay Alarm Company was presented with the Lifetime Code and Standards Achievement Award. Dr. Clary is the third recipient of this award.
The citation states "In appreciation and recognition for meaningful service to the fire alarm industry through code development and education of AHJ's and other fire alarm processionals."
Shane has been with Bay Alarm since 1984. He is presently the Chair of the Technical Committee on the Fundamentals of Fire Alarm (NFPA 72®) and is a member of the NFPA Standards Council. Shane also serves on a number of other technical and code making committees for NFPA, Underwriters Laboratories, Factory Mutual Approvals, International Code Council and the International Electrotechnical Commission.
Dr. Clary has served as the President of the California Automatic Fire Alarm Association. He is currently Chairman of the Board of the Automatic Fire Alarm Association, Inc. Shane oversees all of Bay Alarm's fire alarm designs and testing.
