In this time of environmental awareness and economic struggle, we have joined many in realizing the importance of minimizing wasteful habits and practices in order to encourage the continued success of this country, its society and economy. It is our obligation to be both environmentally and fiscally responsible to ensure this success, so below is a list of ways we, at Bay Alarm, are participating to eliminate waste:
- Reducing our monthly landscaping maintenance and conserving water by installing a water flow reduction system.
- Reducing our janitorial and handyman services by consolidating vendors.
- Replacing old lighting with low wattage compact fluorescent lighting in ALL 13 California offices.
- Using solar power to provide for 1/3 of the energy usage at our Corporate headquarters.
- Changing vendors if their pricing is not competitive and favoring small and local businesses to reduce shipping costs and help support the local economy.
- Drastically minimizing our paper waste and the waste of your time with junk mail by eliminating ALL direct mail marketing campaigns except for our Extended Home Warranty offer.
- Continuing and strongly encouraging our office recycling program.
- Minimizing plastic waste by eliminating the use of water bottles in all offices. Instead we use pitchers of water for meetings and a water jug dispenser for drinking water.
- Using hybrid SUVs for our patrol and fire inspection services.
- Encouraging our service and sales employees who drive company cars to maintain the 65mph speed limit on freeways to increase gas mileage and promote safety.
- Integrating our service routes and schedules using a new software that schedules and routes our service and install calls in the most effective order. This will minimize fuel waste and make it capable for us to complete more jobs in one day.
Not only are we aiming to achieve environmental and economic responsibility in hopes of bettering the general community, we are doing whatever is takes to maintain good business practices and ensure company stability so that we do not cut back on our quality customer service or employees. Bay Alarm continues to give 110% in providing for your security and safety needs.
