Verify active alarm company (Alarm Company Operator, ACO) and Sales Representative/Technician (Alarm Company Employee. ACE) licenses: www2.dca.ca.gov

Research companies for fraudulent, adverse files or records
Consult with several security companies in order to make an informed decision in choosing the right company for you
Receive Informed Consultations
Ensure the Sales Representative understands your security needs
Receive security service from a licensed security company and not a third party dealer
Demand more than one written proposal
Require clarification of service fees associated with special or 'free' systems
Verify if you will own the system after the initial term or it remains the property of the alarm company
Understand the contract, the proposed system, service expectations, and local false alarm fees
Receive live-emergency representative access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year
Question Installing Service Technicians' experience, and if employees have been drug screened and background checked
Have your equipment tested in-house, prior to installation, to ensure proper operation
Have the same security company install and monitor your security system with an Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Certified Central Station that is based in California
Select a Qualified Security Provider
Receive training on how to operate your security system
Receive quality service and 24 Hour Emergency Response
