We are excited to welcome you to the Bay Alarm family. Founded 75 years ago, we are the largest independently owned alarm company in the United States. Just like Mijac Alarm, Bay Alarm was started by a husband and wife with the goals of keeping their community safe while providing superior customer service.

Now in our third generation of family leadership, Bay Alarm has grown from a small office in Oakland, California, to serving communities across California, Washington, and Arizona. Despite our size, we still do things the “Bay Way,” which means you’re getting personalized service, professionally trained security specialists, and a company with deeply ingrained family values.

Please know that you don’t have to do anything as a result of this transition.

What is your service area?

Our Ontario office serves Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, and outlying areas. We have several other offices in the greater LA area and in Southern California. If you are uncertain which of our offices serves your region, just give us a call! We’ll be happy to refer you to the appropriate location, and answer any questions you may have.

How do I pay Bay Alarm?

You can pay your bill by phone, automatic transfer, or online. We’ll include payment information in your welcome pack, but for more information call 1-800-470-1000 and select option three. You should not expect your first bill until at least one billing cycle after we send the welcome pack.  If you’re billed monthly, it may take up to three billing cycles.

How do I make sure my service does not get disconnected?

Bay Alarm and Mijac are doing everything possible to ensure there are no interruptions to your service. You will be receiving a packet of information from Bay Alarm Company with more specific information about your account and new stickers for your windows. If you do not receive that packet by the end of December, please call us at 1-800-470-1000 and select option three, and we’ll make sure you get it.

What do I do if my alarm goes off?

Our 24/7 UL-Listed Monitoring Center will be monitoring your alarms and calling you and the authorities if needed. If your alarm goes off, please call us at 1-800-470-1000 and hit option one. There will be no interruption in your service and all Mijac Alarm phone numbers and alarm signals will route to Bay Alarm.

How can I contact you for equipment and technical support?

Our customer service representatives are always happy to assist you. Agents are available by phone or online Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PST. If you require immediate equipment assistant, or equipment assistance outside of normal business hours, we have service technicians ready to be dispatched 24/7.

Who do I contact if I have questions?

Please know there is nothing that you need to do because of this transition, we are handling everything! But we understand that your security is important, so if you have any questions, call us at 1-800-470-1000.

What if I am not the right person to contact?

If you received a letter in the mail but aren’t the right contact for the account, please let us know. We are working with the most up-to-date information from Mijac Alarm. If you need to update anything you can call us at 1-800-470-1000.
