The Classical Academies is a network of award-winning California Public Charter Schools. With seven campuses, they serve more than 5,300 TK-12 students across North San Diego County. This success story will cover how The Classical Academies created a safer environment on campus and relieved overworked staff with a Bay Alarm security system.
Challenge: Vandalism, trespassing, and concern for children’s safety
The Classical Academies faced a growing challenge in providing a safe environment for its students. Their dedicated security team was burdened more each day with the task of preparing the grounds for student arrival.
SECURITY CHALLENGES
- Regular vandalism and loitering after school hours.
- Unauthorized visitors setting up camp overnight.
- Increased trespassing during school vacation periods.
- Each of the seven campuses had different security needs.
The manual approach of preparing the grounds was becoming more demanding and time-consuming as these problems mounted.
Solution: A multi-layered system with AI-powered video security
Bay Alarm provided a premium video security solution that kept unwanted visitors away. The cornerstone of this solution was Live Video Monitoring (LVM). The AI-powered cameras, combined with real-time human intervention from Bay Alarm’s in-house monitoring station, were a game-changer. This multi-layered system also included Burglar Alarms, Fire Alarms, Access Control, and Security Agent Services.
